Assessed Examination Results

This has been a difficult year for students. With GCSE's and A Level examinations not being held, students have been awarded "assessed" results from teachers.

There has been some distressing results for some, in a situation that the pandemic has caused that no-one could have imagined would happen. The way forward has been clouded by changes and media coverage.

There has been an announcement made this week by OFQUAL which we link to here. We hope this will help to clarify the current situation for parents and students.

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland had already taken the decision to use teacher-assessed grades for both GCSE and A Level results for this year, following the non-sitting of exams due to Covid-19.
